Girls Think Tank ("GTT") is a grassroots non-profit organization of women and men who are committed to advancing basic dignity here in San Diego.

Our Vision-

We are working toward a vision of San Diego in which everyone's basic human dignity is respected. We work to empower each other and those with whom we work through our programs to become change agents in our neighborhoods and communities and achieve this vision.

Programmes and Activities-

Our flagship project is working with the homeless community and a broad coalition of organizations and individuals in San Diego to ensure that the public has access to restrooms and clean, drinking water. We recently won a unanimous vote of City Council to bring in additional 24/7 outdoor toilets to downtown San Diego that will also have a tap for people to refill water bottles for drinking water. We have also worked on service projects for the homeless such as putting together "Winter Survival Backpacks" and "Baby Bags" for homeless mothers and mothers-to-be.

We are also working up a violence against women project locally to prevent sexual violence. We have worked on an anti-trafficking project to help advocates with a database of resources to help prosecute cases against traffickers of women across the Mexico-U.S. border.

Finally, we have worked on youth mentoring. We had a GTT Youth Leadership program at a local high school.
